Mermaid & Snapchat Butterfly Crown Filter Makeup

The other day we gave you the step-by-steps on how to create three of the hottest Halloween makeup looks - a Unicorn, Harley Quinn, and the Snapchat Puppy Filter. Here are two more to inspire you - a Mermaid and the Snapchat Butterfly Crown Filter. Yesterday, the ultimate Mehron Girl Daryna Barykina demonstrated how to create these two trending looks for our live Facebook stream with Condé Nast's The Scene. If you missed the stream, you can watch it in the video below. For easy reference, we've provided the simple directions for you to follow. For each look, Daryna started by creating a fresh palette with Celebré Pro HD Cream Foundation.

Snapchat Butterfly Crown Filter Makeup

• Build a soft, neutral eye using shades from Mehron's E.Y.E Powder and CHEEK Powder 8-Color Palette. 
• Use a shade from the palette that works with your skin tones for the cheeks.
• For a pretty pink lip, apply L.I.P Cream in Fiesta.
• Create the filter effect with shimmery accents. Apply Gold Metallic Powder to the lids on top of the neutrals, to the corner of the eyes, along the lower lash line, and on the cupid's bow.
• Next mix Gold Metallic Powder with Mixing Liquid to create "liquid gold." Apply alongside the part on the crown of the head.

Metallic Mermaid

• Apply Paradise Glitter in White where you want to highlight on the the face.
• For the ocean inspired eye makeup, color the lids with iNtense Pro in Ignite and Precious Gem Powder in Turquoise, then blend with Precious Gem Powder in Diamond.
• Create a red, sparkly lip using L.I.P Cream in Big Apple Red followed with Red Paradise Glitter.
• Add some fun color to the hair with the Paradise Makeup AQ Pastel Palette.
• Use AdGem to apply the pearls around the eyes.
